Mr. Mustafa Oliyath Vazayil, Managing Director, is a strategic thinker, master-communicator and consensus-builder, which his business partners in the Middle East will certainly appreciate. He had set up Gargash Insurance in 1994 and today, the company is the leading National Insurance Broker in the Middle East. Under his stewardship, Gargash Insurance has received the coveted title of "Chartered Insurance Broker" from the prestigious Chartered Insurance Institute, London, recognising the highest level of professional competence and service ethos. Gargash Insurance is the first Insurance Broker with this accreditation in the GCC. He has over 30 years of extensive experience in the Middle East Insurance industry, which included the attainment of Senior Management level positions at New Zealand Insurance Co. and General Accident Insurance, UK, prior to setting up Gargash Insurance as a Managing Director. A Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London and also holding the Fellowship of the Insurance Institute of India, Mr. Vazayil has gained immense recognition for his valuable knowledge and experience in the Insurance sector. He is a regular speaker at International/Regional Insurance seminars/summits and is often quoted by the press on Insurance and Economic related issues. He is the Secretary-General of Insurance Business group of DCCI (elected for the second consecutive term in 2007). In addition to his social and professional membership and associations, he was a Member of the Steering Committee of Emiratisation and Insurance program of Higher Colleges of Technology, UAE, was a twice-elected member of the Managing Committee of the Overseas Indian Economic Forum, was a member of the Programme Advisory Council on Banking & Finance of Higher Colleges of Technology, UAE, for three consecutive terms. Also, he was actively involved in the socio-cultural organisation in Dubai and the UAE in the 1980s and 1990s.

Mr. Rajendran Murkkoth, Deputy Managing Director, has extensive experience across varied functional areas such as Operations, Administration, Marketing, Business Development and HR functioning in the general insurance industry in the UAE for the last 28 years and is an able leader and expert in value creation across multiple sectors. He was instrumental in the setting up and growth of Gargash Insurance, which is now the leading National Insurance Broker in the Middle East. Prior to joining Gargash Insurance, Mr. Murkkoth has held numerous positions while working for General Accident Insurance, UK, Trafalgar Insurance Company and English & American Insurance Company. With good organisational skills, excellent time management, delegation and leadership skills, he successfully manages his incredibly demanding role, to be responsible for the day-to-day running of the company and making strategic plans for the future. With his sharp strategic intellect, he also plays a key role in leading and developing the corporate culture. He is active in supporting various regional organisations that focus on literacy, health and development. He believes in fairness, simplicity and honesty in creative innovation and in life. With his indefatigable attitude and meticulous supervision, Gargash Insurance is set to expand and progress further.

Mr. Jayaraj Narangoli, Executive Director, has extensive experience of over 30 years in the industry and a versatile style of management. He has set a stepping stone in the development of Gargash Insurance’s Sales & Marketing Team. Prior to joining Gargash Insurance, Mr. Narangoli has held numerous key positions at leading transnational insurers including New Zealand Insurance and General Accident, UK. With an incredible entrepreneurial spirit, he has developed new business opportunities while growing existing client relationships and was instrumental in making Gargash Insurance one of the key market leaders. He has commendable personal resilience to be persistent with long-term goals and is able to drive business in all economic climates. Gargash Insurance has seen unwavering growth under his superb management and leadership skills. He is regarded as a highly coveted role model and mentor.

Mr. Suresh Nair, Executive Director, is a perfectionist who has commendable expertise and experience of almost 25 years in the insurance industry. He has worked both as an Underwriter and a Broker during this period due to which he brings deep domain knowledge and has contributed significantly in enhancing the technical expertise of Gargash Insurance. With his Fellowship of the Chartered Insurance Institute & Insurance Institute of India, he plays a major role in providing thought leadership and strategic inputs, in addition to supervising the functional heads of Technical departments across all branches of Gargash Insurance. He also is a member of the Institute of Risk Management, UK and holds a Masters degree in Business Administration. His professional reach also extends into the academic arena; he has published various papers on Insurance & Risk Management, conducted various seminars and training sessions and contributed to columns on insurance matters in industry magazines at various times. He has extensive knowledge of the Insurance sector and plays a critical role in leading cross-border business and strategic initiatives.
